Our detached stone and chalk cottage is about two hundred years old, and stands in a secluded and sunny half-acre garden, down a quiet lane in the centre of the pretty village of Brighstone. It sleeps 6, in 3 bedrooms, and has 2 bathrooms, one en-suite. There is a comfortable sitting room with exposed beams and an open fire, a separate dining room, and a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine.
The Cottage is only a couple of minutes walk from Brighstone s two village shops, medieval church and pub. The island s coastal path is 1 mile away and a footpath from the centre of the village leads straight onto the downs on which you can walk the length of the island. There are good swimming beaches within easy reach, including National Trust owned Compton Bay, with its lovely views of Tennyson Down, which is only a 10 minute drive or bus ride from The Cottage.
Rent £300 to £680 per week.
